Hita Gion Yamaboko (Festival float) Hall
The hall houses six yamaboko floats that go up and down the streets during the Hita Gion festival, registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Property in 2016, along with the festival equipment and materials relating to the festival. The building is constructed in a way that allows visitors to look down upon the 8-meter high yamaboko floats, and provides a close look at the colorful decorations that retain the traditional beauty of Japan. Enjoy the world of Hita Gion that announces summer has come to Hita City.
