Nakasu
The number one entertainment district in western Japan, with more than 2000 restaurants in the delta area created from sands and earth piled up by the Nakagawa River. The neon lights reflected on the water's surface at night are beautiful. During the seasons of the Hakata Dontaku Festival, Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival and Nakasu Jazz event, the city becomes even more lively. In the area around Nakasu, you will find the Tenjin Chuuou Park, with the Kihinkan Kyuu Fukuokaken Koukaido(Former Fukuoka Prefecture Public Hall Distinguished Guest House), and the Suijo Park, and a promenade has been built along the banks of the Nakagawa River, making it a great place for a walk.
