Kyushu National Museum is the fourth national museum after Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara, and is based on the concept of “gaining a fuller understanding of the formation of Japanese culture against the backdrop of Asian history.” The museum has an Asian cultural experience area on the first floor, a special exhibition gallery on the third floor, and a cultural exchange gallery on the fourth floor.
