Make Your Own Roast Green Tea at Kagoshima Horiguchi Seicha
This is a simple but rich workshop, where you'll gently roast tea leaves in a parching pan over an open flame, stopping once the leaves give off a lovely fragrance and the leaves have changed color, being careful not to burn the leaves. Brewing freshly roasted green tea, Hojicha, makes for a fragrant drink that will instantly wake you up. You can put the leaves you roasted yourself in tea bags to take home with you. This addictive aroma is not to be missed.
At Wakohen, you can also purchase teas that can't be found anywhere else, including green tea, matcha, and black tea.
